Pinterest for Artists: A Gateway to Success

Pinterest for artists and beginners

Hello, amazing artists out there! Have you discovered Pinterest yet? If not, it's definitely time you did. Consider Pinterest as your new best friend in the art world. It's an incredible platform that lets you show off your art, increase your visibility, and connect with a bigger audience.

Are you just starting out on Pinterest? Don't worry one bit! I'm here to help you navigate through this journey, sharing insider tips and strategies that have worked wonders for my art business, and can do the same for yours.

Profile

The first thing we should focus on is your profile. Start by setting up a business account and picking out keywords that your target audience is likely to search for. Your profile and cover photos should be clear and appealing, representing your art in the best light. If you already have a website, that's awesome! Make sure you claim it on Pinterest, it adds credibility and can help direct traffic to your site.

Boards

Next up, let's discuss boards. You need to create boards that align with your audience's interests. I recommend starting with about five boards for your original artwork and a few more for existing content that reflects your brand's unique personality. Don't forget to incorporate keywords in your board names and descriptions for better visibility. If a board doesn't align with your brand's image, you can easily make it secret.

How to Pin?

Consistency is key on Pinterest. The more regularly you pin, the more visibility your artwork gets. Start with a manageable pace and gradually increase your posting frequency. When it comes to keywords, focus on quality over quantity. Your pin titles and descriptions should be simple yet effective, helping your pins get discovered by potential followers.

Designing pins can be super easy with templates. Also, remember the importance of repurposing content, particularly videos, to keep your boards diverse and engaging.
